GTA 6 Trailer 2 breakdown: Jason and Lucia's story, new faces and six regions
Everything GTA 6's second trailer showed: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, eight supporting characters, six Leonida regions and how Rockstar captured it.
Rockstar released the second GTA 6 trailer on 6 May 2025, a few days after announcing that the game would slip into 2026. It was the first time the two leads were properly introduced by name. Confirmed
How it was made
Rockstar said the trailer was captured entirely in-game on a PS5, using a mix of gameplay and cutscenes. That makes it a useful guide to how the console version actually looks, not a pre-rendered sizzle reel. Confirmed
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos
- Lucia Caminos opens the trailer in Leonida Penitentiary. Rockstar's character notes describe her getting out and wanting a better life. Seen in trailer
- Jason Duval is ex-army and has been working for drug runners in the Keys. Rockstar describes him as looking for an easy life that keeps getting harder. Confirmed
The trailer shows their relationship turning into a criminal partnership. Robberies go wrong and the two end up in deeper trouble. Seen in trailer The comparison to Bonnie and Clyde comes from fans and the press, not from Rockstar's own descriptions. Fan theory
The supporting cast
Alongside the trailer, Rockstar's official site named these characters: Confirmed
- Cal Hampton: Jason's friend. He listens in on police chatter and likes a conspiracy theory.
- Boobie Ike: a Vice City figure who turned street money into legitimate businesses.
- Dre'Quan Priest: runs a music label alongside Boobie.
- Real Dimez: a rap duo (Bae-Luxe and Roxy) signed to that label.
- Raul Bautista: a veteran bank robber who could pull the pair into bigger jobs.
- Brian Heder: a veteran drug runner and Jason's landlord in the Keys.
Six named regions
The site also named six areas of the state of Leonida: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Confirmed We cover each one in Every location confirmed so far.
Easter eggs fans spotted
- Some fans believe a hotel in one shot is the Ocean View Hotel, Tommy Vercetti's first safehouse in GTA: Vice City. Rumour
