Privacy policy

The short version

We don't have accounts, we don't ask for your name or email to use the site, and your tracker progress never leaves your device. Our analytics are cookie-free.

Tracker progress (localStorage)

When you tick items in the collectibles tracker, we save the IDs of the items you've ticked in your browser's localStorage under the key redheist:tracker:v1. It stays on your device and isn't sent to us. You can delete it any time with the tracker's reset button or by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page speed. It's cookie-free: it doesn't set cookies, doesn't use localStorage, doesn't fingerprint you and doesn't track you across sites. It records anonymous, aggregated data such as the page visited, the referring site, country and browser type. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We don't show ads yet. If we add Google AdSense in future, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads and measure them, which can include personalised ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK and EU), we'll ask for your consent first. You can manage personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings and read how Google uses information in ads.

Amazon affiliate links

Red Heist is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme. Our gear guides link to Amazon with a tracking tag. When you follow one, Amazon may set cookies to credit us for qualifying purchases. We don't receive any personal information about you from Amazon. See Amazon's privacy notice.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Fonts

Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts.
